Todd G. Kruder, M.S.W, L.M.S.W, CAPT, USN (ret.)

Mr. Kruder is a welcome addition to the Southern Maryland Associates team. Mr. Kruder holds two master's degrees, a technical degree from the Naval Post Graduate School (NPS) and more recently, his master's in social work (MSW) from the Catholic University of America.

As a recently licensed Maryland Masters Social Worker (LMSW), Mr. Kruder may be new to the field of clinical social work but brings a combination of skills and personal life experiences not often seen in the clinical Behavioral Health field.

Mr. Kruder served his country honorably and faithfully for 26 years as a Naval Flight Officer (NFO) having flown thousands of hours conducting reconnaissance operations spanning from the first Gulf War (Operation Desert Storm and Desert Shield) and second Gulf war (Operation Iraq Freedom). Mr. Kruder's awards include multiple Meritorious Commendations and the Bronze Star.

Mr. Kruder's passion for service has continued even after retiring from the United States Navy (USN) in September of 2015. Mr. Kruder's technical acumen and his relentless passion for helping others led him to pursue a second career in the field of clinical Social Work.

Mr. Kruder's areas of clinical focus are:

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Addiction

Mr. Kruder is trained in the use of multiple mindfulness techniques and procedures providing our clients an adjunct to medicinal treatment plans.

As an experienced technical systems analyst, Mr. Kruder emphasizes the importance of your behavioral health functioning as it relates to your environmental system.

Additionally, Mr. Kruder is a self-published author of both historical fiction and non-fiction material. Mr. Kruder's non-fiction work emphasizes the importance of the individual within their environment along with the need for a balanced approach to the treatment of your behavioral health needs.
